A Creative’s Creed
It takes a poet to squeeze love from a lemon and to feel its sunshine.
It takes an artist to paint their soul for all to see but few to believe.
It takes a musician to find the somber notes to sing the deepest, roundest Blues.
It takes a writer many lifetimes to story a book.
It takes a lover to show how vulnerable can speak the tender inside of real truths.
It takes grief to show the holiness in sadness.
It takes all of us to share our ordinary and extraordinary gifts to mix and mix until there’s a swath of canvas peppered with uniqueness — where we dance and dance to the curve of a raindrop, pinned to a sky, spinning on a rocky orb — together.
You and I are the “us.”
Let’s hold this kismet which paints our souls, so we can sing the deepest felt Blues, and share our vulnerable with a sacred few, and respect each other in joys and holy sadness too.
Where life cycles through me and touches you.
Together we can foster the essence of humanity, a bridge that is poetic in its diversity — a song that clearly sings of truth.
