The Silence Between Seasons

A poem

I smell the signs of spring
before buds yet to burst
and witness the dance
of sparrows at play
on a quiet branch.

The intensity of their ease
summons me to release
the demands of everyday,
the juggle of everything
which can miss the golden arc
of daydreams.
