When Solo Sounds Are Softer
Hush, like honey,
held a sweet homily of holy
as morning hours unfolded.
My church and temple
of spiritual bassed blues
sang far, far from cantor.
Solo sounds seemed softer
when soul stretches safely
away and between where
spirits say
listen
just listen
There’s more to be seen.
We are the rivulets
reaching the depth
of our spiritual seas.
